Pay in Installments — Terms

These terms apply whenever you choose "Pay in Installments" (BNPL) for an event ticket on Rada, in addition to our general Terms & Conditions. By selecting installments at checkout, you agree to the terms below.

1. The service fee

Paying in installments costs 10% of the ticket price, with a minimum fee of KES 100. This fee is added to your first payment — the installments after that are just your remaining ticket price, split evenly.

2. How payments work

Your first payment is charged immediately — from your Rada wallet, or via M-Pesa if your wallet balance is short. Every installment after that is automatically debited from your Rada wallet on its due date. You don't need to do anything for those later payments as long as your wallet has enough balance.

3. If a payment doesn't go through

We'll remind you 2 days before an installment is due. If your wallet balance is too low on the due date, the payment will fail and we'll send you another reminder to pay manually. Keeping your wallet topped up is the easiest way to avoid this.

4. If installments aren't completed in time

Five days before the event, any payment plan that isn't fully paid is automatically closed. A 15% penalty applies to whatever you've already paid, and the remaining amount is refunded to your Rada wallet. For example, if you've paid KES 700 towards your ticket, KES 105 is kept as a penalty and KES 595 is refunded to your wallet.

5. Your ticket and chat access

Your ticket QR code is only issued once every installment has been paid in full. Chat and squad access for the event, however, is granted as soon as your first payment goes through, and stays available to you even if the payment plan is later closed under section 4.

6. Cancelling a payment plan

There's currently no option to cancel a payment plan yourself. If you decide not to continue, you don't need to do anything — simply stop paying, and the plan will close itself automatically per section 4 above. Note that this means you can't request an early refund before that automatic close-out happens.
